The Land Of Enchantment

by Lindsay on July 5, 2011

I spent the last four days on vacation in the enchanting land of northern New Mexico.

It’s easy to lose yourself in such a place, you see. Such stark, startling beauty and rich, cultural traditions can sweep you off your feet and transport you, if only for a few days.

But oh, the beauty of such days….it stays with you, that feeling. Lingering far beyond the short time span in which you visited.

There’s a reason they call it the Land of Enchantment, after all.

I love Santa Fe! A few years ago Steve and I spent a week in New Mexico and Arizona, and I fell in love with Santa Fe. What a beautiful part of the country. I could live there too…sigh.

Love your photos, too, especially the one of the blue window.

Thanks Lisa….that one with the blue window is one of my favorites of the bunch. :) I too could easily live in Santa Fe…it’s in a beautiful setting, has lots of opportunities for outdoor recreation, weather is good all year, has great regional cuisine, features a strong music and art community, and just feels like no other city in the US. Love that about Santa Fe!
